De pH van uw zwembad meten: de verschillende methoden
Het is belangrijk de pH van uw zwembadwater te regelen met de juiste producten, maar eerst moet u hem meten. Er zijn verschillende manieren om het te meten, meer of minder nauwkeurig.
De technieken zijn gerangschikt van de meest effectieve tot de minst effectieve!
Aangesloten wateranalysatoren
EcO: de aangesloten analyser van iopool
Sinds enkele jaren bestaan er verschillende aangesloten wateranalysatoren voor zwembaden. Dit is een sonde die ondergedompeld wordt in het water en daar permanent blijft liggen. Deze sonde is autonoom en analyseert permanent verschillende parameters van het zwembadwater, waaronder de pH. De resultaten van de metingen zijn zichtbaar op de gekoppelde mobiele telefoonapplicatie.
Het is de eenvoudigste en meest doeltreffende manier om de pH van uw zwembad te meten, met decimale precisie.
pH-testers
Colorimetrische tester
Er zijn twee soorten pH-testers: elektronische testers en colorimetrische testers.
De elektronische testers, ook wel elektronische pH-meters genoemd, bestaan uit een sonde die u gewoon in het water dompelt, en een scherm dat u de pH van het water aangeeft. Ze zijn relatief effectief. De colorimetrische testers werken volgens het principe van een chemische reactie. U moet een reageerbuisje vullen met water uit uw zwembad, het chemische reagens toevoegen en dan de kleur van de vloeistof vergelijken met de referentiekaart om uw pH te verkrijgen!
Teststrips
Waterteststrip
Het teststrookje is het aloude instrument om de pH te meten. U dompelt het gewoon enkele ogenblikken in uw vijver om de chemische reactie te laten plaatsvinden. Als u het uit het water haalt, geeft het strookje een bepaalde kleur aan, die overeenkomt met een bepaald niveau. U kunt de kleur dan vergelijken met de ijkstrip.
Helaas is deze methode niet erg efficiënt voor een decimale berekening, en ze is ook gevoelig voor de omgevingstemperatuur, die het resultaat kan vervalsen. Toch is het een goede indicator of het water nader onderzoek verdient.
Kortom, voor een nauwkeurige analyse en een constante controle van uw pH kunnen wij u alleen maar aanraden een aangesloten zwembadwateranalyser zoals EcO van iopool aan te schaffen.
