Onze zwembadtips om van groene algen af te komen

Bijna iedere zwembadeigenaar is er wel eens mee geconfronteerd... Je bent een paar dagen weg of je verwaarloost het onderhoud van je zwembad en dan is het een drama: het water is groen geworden. De oorzaak? Een algenbesmetting die uw zwembad heeft besmet.


Waar komt de alg vandaan?


Groene alg is een levend organisme dat 's nachts in uw zwembad kan verschijnen. Het is de meest voorkomende alg in zwembaden. Het is erg slijmerig en kleurt uw zwembadwater groen. Het heeft de neiging het zwembad binnen te komen via het filtersysteem en zich voort te planten in een verwaarloosd zwembad.

Eén oorzaak van algen is een zuur-base onbalans in het water. Een andere oorzaak is een slecht gereinigd filtersysteem.

Hun aanwezigheid kan gevaarlijk zijn voor zwemmers.


7 tips om algen te voorkomen


1. Stofzuig uw zwembad


Idealiter wordt het handmatig gestofzuigd, zodat u bijzondere aandacht kunt besteden aan de zones met de meeste algen.


2. Groene strepen verwijderen


Schrob het gebied waar de algen zich bevinden krachtig, zodat ze worden opgerakeld, afgebroken en vervolgens gefilterd.


3. Test het water


Test de alkaliteit en pH van uw water met behulp van uw EcO aangesloten analyser of teststrips.


4. Breng het water in balans


Zodra u het water heeft getest, geeft de iopool mobiele app u de perfecte hoeveelheid waterbalanceringsproducten om toe te voegen en schokchloor om uw zwembadwater te shockeren.

 

5. Activeer uw filtratie

Zodra de schokchloor heeft gewerkt, moet u uw filtratie laten draaien totdat het water helder wordt. Wees voorzichtig, dit kan lang duren.

6. Test het zwembadwater opnieuw


Als het water weer helder is, test u het water nogmaals. U moet ervoor zorgen dat het water chemisch in balans is voordat u gaat zwemmen.


7. Maak uw filter schoon


Zodra alle algen uit uw zwembadwater zijn verwijderd, komen ze in uw filter terecht. U moet het filter dus schoonmaken zodat de resten niet in het water terechtkomen!
