What do iopool 6-in-1 test strips measure?
Each strip checks six important water parameters:

The strips can be used in swimming pools and spas treated with chlorine or bromine.
They also work as a manual testing solution for saltwater pools. However, 6-in-1 strips do not measure salt concentration. To check salinity, use the dedicated iopool salt test strips.
Already using EcO Start or EcO Start Salt?
Your EcO analyzer automatically monitors pH, ORP and water temperature. The 6-in-1 strips complement these measurements by checking alkalinity, hardness, stabilizer and chlorine concentration when needed.
They are not required for EcO to operate, but provide useful additional information about your water.
How to use the test strips

Remove one strip from the packaging and close it properly.

Dip the strip into your pool or spa water, following the immersion instructions supplied with the product.

Allow the colors to develop for the recommended reading time, then compare them with the reference chart in suitable lighting.

Do I need an EcO analyzer to use these test strips?
No. iopool 6-in-1 test strips work independently of EcO Start and EcO Start Salt. You can read the results manually or use the iopool app for additional guidance. If you already own an EcO analyzer, the strips help check parameters that are not measured automatically.
Can I use these test strips in a saltwater pool?
Yes. The strips can check general water balance parameters in a saltwater pool, including pH, alkalinity, hardness and stabilizer. However, they do not measure salinity. A separate salt test strip or suitable salinity tester is required to check the salt concentration.
Can I use the iopool app without scanning my test strip?
Yes. The iopool app also supports manual entry of test strip results. You can compare the strip's colors with the reference chart, enter the corresponding values and receive treatment recommendations based on your water measurements.
Do the strips measure water temperature or ORP?
No. The six measured parameters do not include temperature or ORP. These parameters are monitored automatically by EcO Start and EcO Start Salt. The 6-in-1 strips are intended to complement connected monitoring or provide a standalone manual water check.
